The IPC Awards have quickly gained a reputation as one of the most coveted awards in the UK parking industry.

The 2025 IPC Awards will celebrate parking industry excellence over the following six categories: 


Young Parking Person of the Year (25 years or younger)

The Young Person Award highlights the emerging talents in the parking industry. It is open to all UK parking professionals to nominate a parking employee, consultant, or contractor who has made a significant and consistent contribution to their team and the broader parking sector.


Parking Team of the Year

This award recognises employees who work well with others to achieve a common goal or objective.


Parking Attendant of the Year

The profession of parking can present various challenges. The Parking Attendant Award honors those in the field who interact with drivers and the public daily. This accolade is a recognition of outstanding customer service, adept communication skills, and active community involvement.


Parking Technology Award

The Parking Technology Award acknowledges advancements in parking management systems. The innovation could be a piece of parking hardware, a device, or an extensive system that enhances the efficiency and customer-friendliness of parking management.


Special Projects Award

The International Parking Community Special Project Award acknowledges a project or pilot scheme that successfully addressed a particular challenge or fulfilled the requirements of a distinctive scenario. It could be an initiative aimed at enhancing support for customers, colleagues, the community, or surpassing a aspect of the parking code of practice.


Parking Partnerships Award

The Parking Partnerships Award highlights the significance of collaborative efforts in the parking sector. These partnerships can include pairings or groups of local authorities, companies, professional bodies, campaign groups, and other stakeholders


The entry criteria for each award category can be summarised as follows:

Who – name the individual or team you wish to nominate and role.  A brief career history

Professional and personal achievements this could include testimonials and references.

What – describe what the team or individual have done to distinguish themselves and raise the profile of the parking industry through excellence, dedication to service, and outstanding levels of professionalism.  Giving examples and evidence of doing the extra things that results in outstanding performance. 

Why – they have been nominated and what sets the individual or team apart from other parking professionals or parking organisations.  Providing Evidence by testimonials.

How – demonstrate how they have achieved the “What” and the “Why” through measurable results, specifically through statistics, along with customer endorsements, testimonials from fellow parking professionals, media coverage, and any other awards or accolades.


Entry Guidance – The “Who” “What” and “Why” should not exceed 2 A4 pages/sides plus supplementary documentation to demonstrate, and evidence, the “How”.
